Mass media

After Oleg Krasnianskiy’s trip to France in 2003 to train with parkour founder David Belle, the most popular programme of that time in Russia, “Namedni” on NTV, spoke about parkour to an audience of 10 million people.

This tv show started the development of parkour in Russia.

Shows and promotions

Our team holds shows and events with parkour demonstrations.

Climbing Federation Tower live on TV

We selected and prepared a skyscraper in Moscow for an unassisted ascent of the legendary climber Alain Robert, known as ‘Spider-Man’.

The ascent was broadcast live by Al Jazeera, Russia Today, NTV, Zvezda and BBC radio.

Manufacture

Starting from the First Parkour Festival, we independently develop designs of playgrounds, as well as choose technologies of construction, which will have to withstand serious loads.

The Russian Parkour Federation has its own production of equipment, which allows us to organise parkour competitions of any level, from local to international.

Equipment and safety systems for high-altitude stunts and special flight effects produced by RFOO ‘Parkour Federation’ are used by the world’s largest film studios, used in theatre and opera productions, as well as in the most complex shows of Cirque Du Soleil.

On the right – the founder of parkour in our stunt vest for stunt rigging.

In 2024, at the Urban Forum ‘Moscow 2030’ in Luzhniki, the structure (see the mock-up above) was built by us in the shortest possible time (12 days). During the next 38 days of the festival, the site was simultaneously used for: parkour shows on the right wall; climbing on the rock-climbing wall of the left wall; as well as walks of the guests in the roof area designed for a panoramic view of the whole festival.

During the 38 days of the forum, the structure withstood all the tests without any problems and no injuries were sustained by participants and guests.

Films and videos

Filming is a very exciting process and great adventure. Travelling and visiting the most interesting locations, we captured our vision of parkour and life in the shots.

Our films has won many awards:

  • Winner at the largest independent film festival – Sundance (USA);
  • Special President’s Award at the International Olympic Committee Forum Film Festival in Moscow;
  • Best extreme film at the International Sports Film Festival ‘Vertical’;
  • Nomination for the best short film at the Laurel Branch Award;
  • Winner at the “Sport – the Right Decision” film festival;
  • Winner in the video contest ‘Point of Breakaway’ on the TV channel ‘Sport’.

Production of photo and video materials

Today, the Federation’s equipment fleet consists of a unique Hasselblad X2D medium format camera with a 100MP matrix, and a Black Magic 6K film camera with a 35mm matrix and a set of photo and cinema lenses, lighting and sound equipment, which allows us to independently study the shooting of high-quality artistic materials for good needs.

Parkour Festivals

In 2007 we opened a series of 5 summer parkour festivals, between which we organised indoor festivals. During this time, festival guests have included David Belle, the founder of parkour; Alain Robert, a unique rock climber who has scaled all the most famous skyscrapers in the world (most of them without ropes); athletes and music bands from Europe, Asia, and North America.

Our festivals have become some of the largest in the world in terms of both build-up and attendance. Here are some of them:

First Russian Parkour Festival

Second Russian Parkour Festival

Third Russian Parkour Festival

Forth Russian Parkour Festival

Fifth Russian Parkour Festival

Present time

Our most recent event is the organisation of the ‘Escape from District 13’ event as part of the Urban Forum ‘Moscow 2030’. The platform became the most visited in the sports part of the forum and attracted a lot of attention.

Children could take part in parkour master classes, try their hand at climbing skyscraper walls, and watch a parkour show based on the movie ‘District 13’.

See you on the next parkour festival!
